If a proposed or potential site (usually determined as Greenfield) is not currently allocated within the relevant Council Development Plan, it would normally be necessary to instigate a variety of proactive measures as an aid to enable the site to be presented and promoted through the Development Plan Review Process. Expert knowledge of this process is required to ensure that all relevant factors are highlighted and response and consultation deadlines are met.
Representations/objections/submissions would be prepared and submitted on behalf of the Client within the framework of the relevant Councils Development Plan review process. It should be noted that Council areas work to different timescales and therefore it may be a number of years before such representations can be made. Representations take into account site specific Material Considerations as well as National, Regional and Local policies to ensure that the best possible argument is put forward for each case.
